When the peloton starts from the starting line, the fans see the cyclists, the cameras and the finishing sprint. They do not see what must have worked before - and punctually to the minute. From July 24 to 26, 2026, the 4th edition of the Tour de Pologne Women passed through the Lublin region, and Grupa Transportowa was responsible for its logistics facilities as the official logistics partner of the race.
Three stages in the world rank
This year's edition has been promoted to the rank of the UCI Women's ProSeries, the second level in the hierarchy of the most important women's races in the world. 20 teams stood at the start, including eight World Tour teams, and the competition included three stages and about 357 kilometers from Tomaszów Lubelski to Lublin. Sports-wise, the weekend belonged to Lorena Wiebes from Team SD Worx-Protime. The Dutchwoman won all three stages - in Zamość, Lubartów and at the finish at Krakowskie Przedmieście in Lublin - as the first cyclist in the history of this race. The best of the Polish women, Olga Wankiewicz, took ninth place in the general classification. Apart from the results, the range is also important. Reports from the race reached viewers in 65 countries, and the Lublin region was shown to the world for three days with roads, landscapes of Roztocze and Polesie, and the finish line in Lublin. It is an event that promotes the region far beyond the borders of Polish.
The role of the transport group
Grupa Transportowa is the official logistics partner of the Tour de Pologne and all races organized by the Lang Team, including the Tour de Pologne Women. The cooperation has been ongoing since 2025 and covers the full facilities of events - from the Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour, through the women's and junior versions, to the ORLEN Lang Team Race and the ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs. In practice, this means responsibility for the transport of the entire racing infrastructure. On route 4. Tour de Pologne Women, 8 vehicles of the Transport Group were employed, which served the next stages throughout the weekend.What race logistics really mean
Organizing a cycling spectacle is an operation in which each element must work on time and in the right place. The starting town, partner zones, technical facilities and finish line do not appear alone - they need to be transported, set up and prepared before the competitors even drive to the start. One of the key tasks of a logistics partner is the transport of cycling safety systems. These are the shock-absorbing barriers and totems of the BOPLAN brand, imported from Belgium, which protect the competitors at the finishes and at critical points of the route. Tour de Pologne pioneered this solution at the World Tour level, and the scale is specific - over 650 meters of these protections are set up at each stage. On top of that, there is everything else that is not visible on the broadcast: the scenery of the start and finish, the facilities for the teams, the technical equipment. Each of these elements has its place in the schedule and there is no margin for being late.
